2022-2023 Season...
TMS Theatre kicked off the year with the Texas Thespians competition at the Gaylord Conference Center in Grapevine. This was the inaugural year for our TMS Troupe, and we inducted 15 students based on prior performance points. Students received high scores from the judges, and Bailey McAlpin advanced to the finals in the monologue competition. Overall, it was a very successful first year at this competition. By creating a Thespians Troupe at TMS we have given students the opportunity to be recognized by the state for their achievements in theatre. It is an honor society very similar to NJHS. Students will have the ability to accumulate points throughout their middle school and high school years.
In November, theatre produced a collaborative performance through the ACE program. "Help Desk" by Don Zolidis was presented at Ford High School on Tuesday, November 29th. This was the first time on stage for many of the younger students involved. They did an amazing job!
TMS Theatre selected "Perfect" by Alan Haehnel for our UIL competition piece this year. The competition took place at Sunnyvale High School on January 12th. We placed 2nd overall and also received several individual awards. Mason Mckinney- Honorable Mention All Star Cast, McKenna Iserman - All Star Cast, Kobe Mercado- All Star Crew AND Outstanding Crew, Bailey McAlpin- Best Actor
TMS Theatre is currently collaborating with TMS Choir and the ACE program to present, "The Newsies Musical". Performances will be on April 26th and 27th at Ford High School.
