A.E. Butler Music
A.E. Butler Elementary Music
A.E. Butler students attend music class once a week for 50 minutes. Within each class we talk about our Composer of the Week, learn and review rhythm syllables and solfege syllables and we apply those syllables to the song we are learning in class. We also play a variety of instruments including: Boomwhackers, xylophones, egg shakers, rhythm sticks, tambourines and ukuleles. Each grade level also has a grade level performance each year. In addition to what we learn in class, students also participate in various performances with the ACE after school program. Here is a glimpse into what we are doing right now!
Magic Tree House: The Knight at Dawn Kids

This time around, Jack and Annie’s tree house takes them to an age of knights in shining armor, where the two discover the power of hope and the true meaning of gallantry.
