A.E. Butler Elementary Music
A.E. Butler students attend music class once a week for 50 minutes. Within each class, we talk about our Composer of the Week, learn and review rhythm syllables and solfege syllables and apply those syllables to the song we are learning in class. We also play a variety of instruments including Boomwhackers, xylophones, egg shakers, rhythm sticks, tambourines and ukuleles. Each grade level also has a grade-level performance each year. Here is a glimpse into what we are doing right now!
