Quinlan ISD adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 9.32 percent and will raise taxes on maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $77.30.

Mr. Glen: A Quiet Hero and QISD’s First "Level Up" Champion

In a vibrant school district, where the days are long and the work is constant, it’s often the quiet heroes who make the biggest difference. At D.C. Cannon Elementary School, that hero is known simply as “Mr. Glen.” His full name is Glen Ferguson, and the Quinlan Independent School District is proud to announce him as its first-ever Level Up Champion, a title he earned through his contagious spirit and unwavering kindness.

About Us

Quinlan Independent School District spans 152 square miles of Southern Hunt County, with an enrollment of approximately 2,900 students. Quinlan ISD serves four municipalities (Quinlan, West Tawakoni, Hawk Cove and Union Valley) and portions of four counties (Hunt, Kaufman, Rockwall and Van Zandt). QISD is categorized in the larger 4A UIL classification. UIL classifications in the state of Texas range from 1A – 6A. Our mascot is the panther and our school colors are blue and white.
