TMS Blue Babes National Champions

According to TMS Director, Caitlin O’Neill “Getting to Nationals as a middle school is a huge accomplishment by itself. Not only was it the first time that the Babes went to Nationals, but they also swept the junior high division. The middle school division is not divided up into team size like the high school divisions are, and the Babes still won first in every category.”

"This is my second year as the director at TMS. When I first got the job, I set very high expectations for the Babes, and they continue to exceed them. All of my girls come in without any dance experience, and I work hard to mold them into a National Champion team. Drill team is so much more than dancing; it is about developing character and skills that are in many aspects of life. Anyone can learn how to dance, but not everyone has the patience and work ethic that it takes to accomplish what this team has this year. I am BEYOND proud of them!” said O’Neill.

The team’s National awards include:

  • 1st Place in Pom
  • 1st Place in Kick
  • 1st Place in Jazz
  • 1st Place in Open
  • Highest Scoring Open Routine of Entire Competition (including high school teams)
  • Overall Junior High National Champions
