On Friday, February 3, 2017, The QISD Family and Community Engagement Department hosted the fourth-annual Family Sweetheart Dance. We are so pleased that approximately 400 Cannon and Butler students and their families came out and made some special memories. They enjoyed music, dancing, refreshments, and a photo booth. You could definitely feel the love in the air. The students went home with Valentine goodie bags filled with learning activities designed for the whole family. We appreciate everyone who made this special evening possible: Karina Salazar, Jo Lynn Hughes, Angela House, Lindsay Walker, George McCain, Wendy Harsin, Illa Stewart, Jana McMillan, Keitha Norris, Kayla Norris, Scarlet Hart, Debbie Wilkins, Leslie Crow, Melony Burer, the Police Explorers, Officer Doiron, Brandy Hill, John Michael Milton, Brian Michael, Tracy Honse and the Butler Maintenance Staff, and Brenda Stone and the Food Service Department.
The goal of the Quinlan ISD Department of Family and Community Engagement is to work together in partnership with families and the community to help every child reach their full potential and to live happy and healthy lives.
The Family Sweetheart Dance is just one of the many family engagement activities hosted by QISD throughout the year.
