The Quinlan ISD Band Program is becoming a leading force in excellence in the Quinlan School District. Enrollment in the district band program over the past several years has grown from approximately 130 students to a projected enrollment of approximately 100+ students in Beginner Band, 100+ students in 7th & 8th Grade Band, and 100 students in the Panther Marching Band.
The band continues to improve ratings at contest, bringing home 1st division ratings at UIL Contests. Individual contests such as UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest and All-Region/All-State contests also are reaching levels never reached before in Quinlan. In addition to the successes at the Solo & Ensemble contests, Quinlan band students are excelling in Region, Area, & State Band Contests. These students continue to raise the bar at these contests by earning higher chairs in all three levels of the All-State Process. Over the past several years, Quinlan-Ford High School Band had 3 members named as a member of the Texas All-State Band and performed in San Antonio, TX during the Texas Music Educators Convention.
In addition to the students, the Quinlan Band Booster Association is taking new strides in their support of the Quinlan Band and it's students. We are in the process of reorganizing our officers and branching out into untested waters to provide the students of the Quinlan Band the best educational, extracurricular and social experience they can receive from being part of the Quinlan Band.
The Band Directors, QISD Administration and Band Parents are all very proud of the continued excellence and success by the students in the Quinlan Band Program.
