This is a 3 hour course for women and teen age girls to learn some of the basics of self-defense. This class should help provide women with ideas, strategies and techniques to help in the area of personal safety and self-defense. To help build a safer, better prepared community. This class is open to ladies (ages 10 to adult) across the Quinlan area. Mothers are encouraged to participate with their daughters (10 years old and above). Quinlan ISD is offering this program as a service to our community members who would like to learn more about their general safety and if necessary, how to protect themselves in a situation that may demand physical action. This course will attempt to help women develop a higher sense of awareness that may enable them to avoid dangerous situations, and how to react during situations that could be hazardous. This class is taught by:
• Michael Suber, 5th degree Black Belt in Shorinryu and 4th degree Black Belt in Isshinryu, Certified Karate Instructor and QISD Teacher
• Dr. Don Madden, Dr. Don Madden, 2nd degree black belt, Certified Karate Instructor and QISD Administrator.
• Michael Tull, 2nd Degree Black Belt in American Kobudo Ryu Martial Arts, Certified Karate Instructor and QISD Administrator
